Omega's new diver shown off at Baselworld 2018 is just starting to reach the markets. It is their 25 year anniversary edition, and with that came a total rework of this iconic diver. It now sports Omega's Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 movement. It is chronometer certified, which is no surprise. The crown (positioned at the 3 o'clock) is a screw down. It has easy date change functionality as well. The other crown-like object sitting at the 10 o'clock is a helium escape valve. This is not going to much use to most of those who purchase this timepiece, however we certainly aren't complaining about its inclusion. It has a unidirectional ceramic bezel, with a bit of lume at the top. The dial has wave designs laser engraved in, giving it the nostalgic feel the Seamaster should have. The date window has been moved to the 6 for improved balance on the dial. Each hour mark has lume, and the hands are quite simplistic, but beautiful. There are 14 new models total as well as a special edition limited to 2,500 pieces. It has 18K Sedna gold and grade 2 titanium.
